Water Aerobics

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of pictures to document my new found activity.  A few weeks ago, my roommate Stephanie and I decided to try out the Logan Aquatics Center, as they offer adult lap swimming time late each evening.  We then discovered that they also offer water aerobics classes.

Ever since that first night, we have been hooked!  I will drag everyone and anyone there, (well anyone who will let me) because I love it.

I definitely like the workout aspect of it.  It's nice to have a class to go to, with someone telling you what to do, and to shout for you to keep going.  I have definitely been getting sore arms (since I have no arm muscles at all).

It's been really fun as well to go with my roommates.  It's turned into a nightly activity.  At 9:30, we get in the car and drive over to the pool.  It's a pretty humorous activity, and it's really brought us closer, which has been a lot of fun.

But probably the best part of this has been getting back in the pool.  I spent 6 summers working at the pool. And for many years before that, I remember finishing off each summer night going to the pool with my family.  (Seriously, we would go every single night.  I think our neighbors thought we were crazy.)  I just have always loved the pool, and being in the water.  Ahhh, it's just delightful--the perfect way to end the day.

Exes

So, I used to live with these two girls.  We shared a pantry, so we were obviously very close.  But then we moved, and other than seeing this fabulous girl be a Puerto Rican in West Side Story, the three of us haven't done anything with each other since we were all roomies at Garden Court.  Which is a real misfortune, because these two are some of the funniest, most awesome women around.  

Until this happened tonight.  I love these girls, it was so fun living with them last year, and even though we're all pretty different, somehow we all like sushi.  Weird, right?

We got all of this fantastic sushi for $6 each!  It was beautiful, and oh so delicious.

Funny story about this picture...We wanted one picture with all of us, because we love each other so much, so we asked this man to take one for us.  He refused!  So this is what we ended up with.  Thanks sir...

Anyways, I'm grateful for these girls.  They were some dang awesome roommates, and they still are some dang awesome friends.

The Cleanest

Our apartment has stayed pretty dang clean this year, which is impressive because usually apartments end up looking like this.

Anyways, our apartment is a bit cleaner this year.  But that's besides the point of this post.  Whether your apartment is generally pretty clean, or generally not, one thing is for sure.

Things are the cleanest when someone has a test coming up!

I have a test tomorrow, so naturally, I'm reorganizing my whole room, finding places for all of my winter clothing, doing my laundry, and pretty much doing everything productive besides studying.  Plus, you really can't get any studying done if your room isn't clean.

At Edgehill 10, on the day of the infamous Utah State Howl, we did not spend the day prepping for event of the year.  Instead, we spent the majority of the day in the kitchen.  Here's what was made.

Heidi and Lex made use of Lexi's fancy popcorn maker.

Rachel was festive and made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. 

Heidi continued in the Halloween spirit and toasted pumpkin seeds.

I made my mom's delicious Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder for soup party. 

And just because there wasn't enough food made, I cooked up a batch of cinnamon rolls.  

Forget wild parties, the best way to celebrate the holidays is simply by cooking, eating, and being with friends.  

Partners in Crime

My roommate Heidi is awesome.  Lately she's been getting into a real festive mood.  Our window has a neat sign on it, there's cobwebs in the corners, and a nice little Halloween coloring book to add even more Halloween cheer to the apartment.

It's new grammar.  Embrace it.

We decided our porch was a little lacking.  We had two cute little pumpkins (okay, one cute little pumpkin that I carved, and one giant one that Heidi has yet to carve), but we needed more.  We'd seen some nice hay bales somewhere, so we just went picked one up.  There also found a little bench that we thought would make a nice addition.

Recap.  My old roommate Clare and I have awesome adventures.

One time, we bought the backseat at the DI.  

Another time, we quickly scaled a mountain before our home teachers came over.

I have missed this girl.  Tonight we went and saw Chloe's (our other roommate) play, West Side Story.  Clare and I aren't big theater people, that's how much we love Chloe.  

Last year, I had to make rice for Clare.  Actually, I even had to cut an apple for Clare.  That's why this next picture shows how much Clare loves me.  

She prepared a feast.  I was so impressed.

It was dang delicious, and it was a great night.  

Also, I stole all of these pictures off of Clare's facebook.  And she didn't yet add the awesome one of us with Chloe in full costume, which would make the perfect end to this post.
