That Awkward Moment...

...when you start liking the Lakers.

How did this happen?

1)  When I found out Steve Nash was going to be playing for the Lakers, I was appalled.  Obviously, I can't like the Lakers.  That is appalling.  But, I love, love, love Steve Nash.  I was facing a moral dilemma.

2) The season started, and the Lakers get a new coach.  And who is it?  Naturally, it would be the Suns old coach, who I also love.  I was excited to see how the team changed with this new development.
3) The new development doesn't pan out.  The season goes on, Steve Nash is injured, the Lakers do terribly.  Steve Nash recovers and starts playing, and the Lakers are still terrible.  They've got all of these great players, but somehow are just not winning.
So somehow, the fact that this team is doing awful makes me like them.  I've become fascinated with the team developments, and hopeful that they'll start to figure it out.

And while everyone else (excluding all of the appalling people who are always Lakers fans) is probably rejoicing in the fact that the Lakers, who are always good, are finally losing, and failing despite their awesome new team...I'm finding myself rooting for one of the most hated teams in the NBA.

So there you have it.  I can't say I've jumped on the Lakers bandwagon, because that would require them to be good.  But somehow, I've ended up...a Lakers Fan.  I'm interested to see if this team can put it together.

And if you're appalled, you're probably almost as appalled as me.  Sometimes, you just can't help it.

Exciting Life I Lead

Gone are the days of staying out all night...what am I up to these days that is so unblogworthy?  This is what I do every day.

8:30 - 10:30
Go to class.  Three different classes, the same room for almost two hours each day, Business 209.

11:00 - 4:00
Go to work at Lowry & Associates.  On Monday's, I stick around campus all day for my other classes.

5:00 - 10:00
Do homework or nothing.  Some nights I even make it up to the library.

11:00
Prepare to be shocked.  The girl who hasn't regularly gone to bed before midnight since probably before high school...is going to bed.

And yeah, maybe I don't really have a thriving social life currently...but let's be honest, going to bed early is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Cold

So...I don't know if people have noticed, but it is COLD.

When I walked outside today, it felt warmer that it has the last few days.  And what was the temperature?  Oh, 15 degrees.  Yeah, I know, that's really getting up there.

The one thing you can count on people saying about Logan is how freezing it is up here.  Until this year, I really hadn't experienced the frigid place Cache Valley truly is.  Here's how cold we are up here.

When you're outside, all you can talk about is how cold it is.

There were 70 people on the bus today.  That's about 30 less than every other day this week.

When I walked outside today, it felt warmer that it has the last few days.  And what was the temperature?  Oh, 15 degrees.  Yeah, I know, that's really getting up there.

Every blanket I own is on my bed.  I sleep in my sweats.  It is still possible that I might get cold.

My gas tank thing got frozen shut.  A nice man had to come open it with a knife.

I look homeless every day, because I look like I'm wearing every piece of clothing I own.

But...it really is great.  And this'll probably mean once it gets above freezing, we can all break out our shorts and t-shirts!  (People here might be crazy.)

The Comeback

It's always awkward writing after not writing for awhile.

I haven't written because day to day I'm like...I have nothing to write about.

But then I think I should blog again, and I'm like...where do I even start, there's so much I haven't talked about.

Anyways, it's a weird situation.  December was a great month...hopefully some pictures to follow.

As of now, Lex and I are back in Logan.  So far, we've done what' we're best at, which is grocery shop and watch Netflix.  If this is how the semester goes, this blog could get very, very exciting.  Just saying.
